Knutsford sits right in the middle of some of Cheshire’s best wedding country, and our soul, funk, R&B, Motown and pop has filled dancefloors all around it, at The Oak Tree of Peover, Owen House Wedding Barn in Mobberley, Merrydale Manor, Mere Court Hotel and Stock Farm Barn on the Tatton Estate.

Live wedding bands around Knutsford usually fall into these price bands:
All nine of Brass Monkees start at £2,000, with travel added on top. There’s no agency between us and you, so nobody adds the usual 20% commission.
Your price depends on the date, how much live music you want and any extras.

Fill in the enquiry form with your date and venue. If we’re available, a quote comes back to you.
To confirm, sign the booking form online and pay a 15% deposit. The date is then yours, and the deposit invoice is emailed to you.
We email the final invoice around two weeks before the wedding. It shows any extras added since you booked, less the deposit you’ve already paid.

Nine musicians: two lead singers, drums, bass, guitar and keys, with a horn section of trumpet, trombone and saxophone at the front of the stage.
Yes. If the song fits our set, we’ll learn it for free. If it needs a full arrangement, there’s a fee for the extra rehearsal.
If you’d rather dance to the original recording, we can play it through our PA instead.
A flat, covered area of about 6m × 3m and two 13 amp sockets on separate circuits. Smaller rooms are often fine, so tell us the space you have and we’ll work with it.
Our 3kW PA covers most rooms. For a ballroom or a big marquee, a 5kW PA is available at extra cost.
We normally arrive from 6pm. When the band is in a separate room from your meal, we start setting up straight away. If it’s the same room, we wait until the speeches are over.
That’s up to you, but we recommend starting no earlier than 8:30–9pm. The evening has time to build, and the dancefloor stays busy right to the last song.
Around an hour to set up and soundcheck, plus a few minutes to change before we go on.

It rarely is. Country houses and barns around Knutsford sometimes fit one to protect neighbours or listed rooms. If yours is set to around 100 decibels, with the sensor at least 7 metres from the band, we play as normal.

PLANNING LIVE MUSIC FOR A KNUTSFORD WEDDING
Hotels, barns and country houses, and what each means for the band
Knutsford weddings happen in very different rooms. There is the ballroom at Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere, the manor house at Colshaw Hall, and barns like Stock Farm and The Oak Tree of Peover. Before the day we talk to your venue coordinator about access, where the band sets up and any noise rules, so nothing comes as a surprise.
We arrive at around 6pm and need at least an hour to set up and soundcheck. If we set up in the room where you ate, we wait until the speeches are done. Most couples have us on at 8.30 to 9pm for two 60-minute sets, with our playlist in between, and the PA and stage lighting come as standard.

A KNUTSFORD WEDDING BOOKED AROUND THE BAND
Loretta and Rick at Mere Court Hotel
Some couples choose the venue first and the band later. Loretta and Rick did it the other way round. They first saw us playing in a pub in town, years before they were engaged, and decided on the spot that we would play their wedding.

They married at Mere Court Hotel, just outside Knutsford, and the band played their evening party. With a winter date the whole party is indoors from the start, which suits a live band well.
