TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 “Brass Monkees” is referred to as the Band or Artist
1.2 “Client” refers to the booking party
1.3 “Equipment” means equipment supplied by the Artist unless otherwise agreed in writing. Where agreed otherwise, equipment and trained operatives must be supplied by the Client
1.4 “Fee” means the total amount (£) charged for the services
1.5 “Agreement” means these Terms and Conditions
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 A non-refundable deposit must be paid within 7 days of the invoice date to secure the booking
2.2 The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 7 days before the performance date
2.3 The Client may choose to pay the full balance up to 4 weeks in advance if agreed by the Band
2.4 If payment is not received within the specified time, the Band reserves the right to terminate the booking without penalty. The Client remains liable for any applicable cancellation fees outlined in Section 5
2.5 Late payments may incur a £25 administration fee, which must be paid within 7 days
3. Artist Responsibilities
3.1 The Band will perform to the best of their ability at all times
3.2 The Band reserves the right to use professional substitute musicians (deps) if necessary due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances. This ensures the performance can still go ahead. The use of a dep does not constitute grounds for cancellation or reduction in fee
3.3 The Band will provide a high-quality PA system, instruments, microphones, and all required sound equipment, operated by trained professionals
3.4 The Band will perform within the agreed times
3.5 The Band will adhere to venue sound restrictions and licensing requirements (these must be communicated in advance)
3.6 All equipment supplied will be safe, maintained, and PAT-tested annually
3.7 The Band holds Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of £10,000,000
4. Client Responsibilities
4.1 The Client must provide a reliable emergency contact for the day of the event
4.2 The Client must ensure a safe, covered performance area is provided
4.3 The Client must provide a safe and properly earthed electrical supply
4.4 The Client must provide the Band with unlimited water or soft drinks throughout their time at the venue
4.5 The Client must provide a suitable hot meal or cold buffet. The Band consists of 9 members, including 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan
4.6 The Client must provide a clean, safe private space for changing and storage
4.7 The Band’s equipment must not be used by any other person without prior written permission
4.8 If the Client or any associated party damages any equipment, the Band reserves the right to terminate the performance without penalty. Full payment will still be due
4.9 In the event of aggressive or unsafe behaviour, the Client is responsible for resolving the situation. If the issue is not addressed, the Band reserves the right to terminate the performance without penalty. Full payment will still be due
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 If the Client cancels the booking, the following charges apply:
- Within 48 hours of booking confirmation -> No fee (unless event is within 7 days, then full fee applies)
- 90 days or more before event -> 50% of total fee
- Between 61–90 days before event -> 75% of total fee
- 60 days or less before event -> 100% of total fee
5.2 All cancellation fees must be paid within 14 days
5.3 Failure to pay cancellation fees may result in legal action or referral to a debt recovery agency. Any additional costs incurred will be the responsibility of the Client
5.4 In the unlikely event that the Band must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of any deposit paid will be issued
5.5 The Band will make reasonable efforts to source a suitable replacement artist if required
6. General
6.1 These Terms and Conditions form the full agreement between the Band and the Client
