About the venue
Light, oak and log fires
Tucked away down Back Lane in Lower Peover, a few miles from Knutsford, The Oak Tree of Peover is a bespoke oak-framed barn on a 30-acre estate, with nothing but Cheshire countryside around it.
There are two rooms licensed for ceremonies. The Ladybird Room is surrounded by views over the grounds and suits a more intimate day, seating up to 100 for a ceremony and 70 for dinner. The Acorn Room is the larger space, with floor-to-ceiling windows, skylights and twinkling fairy lights, seating up to 108 for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast.
Guests arrive into the Acorn Bar, with its real log fire and a balcony covered in greenery, and in the evening the whole venue opens up for up to 180 guests. Everything is on one level, and there’s a loft and a den for getting ready.
A dedicated coordinator is assigned a few months before your wedding and stays with you through the day itself. Warm, light and relaxed, it’s a great match for a band that plays everything from Motown classics to the latest floor-fillers.

Can Brass Monkees play at The Oak Tree of Peover?
Yes. Lower Peover is near Knutsford, right in the part of Cheshire we play most often (see our Knutsford wedding band page). We’ll liaise with your coordinator in advance about set-up, timings and anything else the venue needs.
Can you play our ceremony too?
Yes. Both the Ladybird Room and the Acorn Room are licensed for ceremonies, and our acoustic singer and guitarist is perfect for either, from your entrance to the signing and your walk back down the aisle.
Do you work with venue sound limiters?
Yes. Some Cheshire venues use sound limiters, and we’re used to working with them. We set our levels to suit the room, so the band sounds great without tripping anything. Our guide to sound limiters at Cheshire wedding venues explains more.
Are the PA and lighting included?
Yes. The band brings its own full PA and stage lighting at no extra cost, and we’re fully insured, with documents available for the venue on request.
Can you provide a DJ?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, so the live sets and the DJ come from the same team, with no gaps in between.
How much does a wedding band at The Oak Tree of Peover cost?
Our packages start from around £2,000, with the final price depending on your date, timings and extras. There are no agency fees, as you’re booking the band directly. Send us your date for an exact quote.
How far ahead should we book?
Spring and summer Saturdays at popular Cheshire venues often book a year or more in advance, so once your date is confirmed with The Oak Tree, check our availability early.
