THE CORPORATE EVENT BAND
The Christmas party, the awards night, the summer do: the one evening of the year the whole company is in one room. It should be the night people talk about on Monday.
Brass Monkees are a 9-piece live band with two singers, a rhythm section and a three-piece horn section. We’ve played company events for organisations from Barclays and the BBC to local firms celebrating a milestone, and we know how a corporate night runs: background music while people arrive and network, a pause for the speeches and awards, then a full party set once the dinner’s cleared. Our song list covers Soul, Funk, R&B, Motown and Pop, so the new starters and the directors are all on the dancefloor together.
We’re easy to book for whoever’s organising. You deal with the band direct, with one clear quote from £2,000 and no agency fees. We invoice your business, send our public liability insurance and PAT certificates to the venue, and work to its timings and any sound limiter. PA, lighting and background music between our sets all come as standard.

01A Full Horn Section
Trumpet, trombone and sax up front, bringing the kind of big live sound you can’t get from a DJ or a four-piece. It’s the bit your colleagues will still be talking about at the next team meeting.

A male and female lead vocal, so the set moves easily from Motown duets to modern pop and the room never hears the same voice all night.

Our full 9-piece band with a live horn section starts from £2,000 (excluding travel). You book directly with us, so there's no agency commission added on top.
Your quote depends on the date, how long we're needed at the venue and how far we travel. Christmas party Fridays and Saturdays are our busiest dates, so the earlier you ask, the more choice you have.
Yes. Bookings are made with our limited company, Entertainment Monkey Ltd, and every invoice is addressed to your business. A 15% deposit holds the date once the booking form is signed online.
The final invoice arrives around two weeks before your event, with the balance due a week before. If your finance team needs anything specific on the invoice, just tell us when you book.
We hold £10 million public liability insurance and all our equipment is PAT tested. We'll send the certificates over, along with our technical rider, so your venue has everything it needs before we arrive.
That's what we're built for. Our set runs from Motown, soul and funk to the latest chart hits, so there's something for the graduate intake and the directors alike. We watch the room and change the set as we go, so the dancefloor stays busy.

Nine musicians: two lead singers, a horn section of saxophone, trumpet and trombone, plus guitar, bass, keys and drums. It's a big, full sound that fills a ballroom or a marquee.
Yes. An awards walk-on, a song your team always sings, or a track tied to your brand all work well live. If it's one we were planning to learn anyway there's no charge. If not, there's an extra fee to arrange and rehearse it.
For a quick moment, such as a winner's walk to the stage, we can also play the original recording through our PA.
Yes. Send us your running order and we'll plan our sets around it. Before and between sets we play music through our PA, so there's no silence while guests arrive, eat or collect awards, and we keep it at the right level for conversation.
Once the formal part is over, the band takes the stage and the party starts.
You get two hours of live music, usually as two 60-minute sets. If your evening suits a different split, such as three shorter sets around an awards ceremony, just ask and we'll work it out with you.
Not much. We bring our own PA system and stage lighting. We need a flat, covered space of around 6m × 3m and two 13 amp sockets on separate circuits. If the room is tighter than that, talk to us, as we've made smaller stages work.
We normally arrive around 6pm and need at least an hour to set up and soundcheck, fitting around any presentations happening in the room.
Yes. We can add a manned DJ booth to keep the party going after the band, roaming brass for a drinks reception, or an acoustic set during dinner. See our entertainment packages for the options.
Yes, we play company events anywhere in the UK. Most of our work is in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, North Wales, Shropshire and Staffordshire, and we travel further for the right event.
Travel is built into your quote, so just send the venue and date.
Often it isn't. A limit of about 100 decibels, with the sensor at least 7 metres from the stage, lets the full band play properly. We've also played rooms with lower limits by using in-ear monitors and an electronic drum kit.

Your company event, start to finish
Organising the night is a job on top of your day job. Send us the venue, the timings and your running order, and we’ll fit around it. You deal with one point of contact from booking to the last song, and we liaise with your venue directly.
Set Up Before the Doors Open
We arrive early and set up the stage, PA and lighting. If the room is in use for presentations or a drinks reception, we work around it and soundcheck when it’s clear.
Background Music
Our playlist runs through the PA as guests arrive and while they eat, kept low enough for conversation. Want live music here too? Add an acoustic set.

Brass Monkee's recently performed at our 25th anniversary party. They were absolutely sensational! I cannot recommend them enough. In the run up to the event they were super helpful, organised and made the whole process incredibly easy. The quality of the music was amazing, I've never seen so many people on their feet so quickly and people were up dancing all night. Every one of our guests commented on how good they were and many said it's the best band they've seen at an event.

Brass Monkees played at our Summer Party on Saturday after coming highly recommended to us and they certainly didn't disappoint! I saw the Brass Monkees about 4/5 years ago and they were good then, and my wife booked them for a surprise birthday party for my 70th last week and they were great. She booked the full 9 piece band and the sax, trombone and trumpet made it very professional. A work do is different from a private party. People who sit in different offices, teams or even countries are in one room, and plenty of them don’t know each other well. A playlist fills the silence, but a live band gives everyone the same thing to watch, react to and talk about afterwards.
That’s where a full horn section earns its place. Saxophone, trumpet and trombone, two lead singers and a tight rhythm section make a big, confident sound that pulls people out of their seats, from the sales team who’ll be first up to the finance director who swore they wouldn’t dance.

You book direct with the band, through our limited company, Entertainment Monkey Ltd. You get one quote with travel included, a booking form you sign online and invoices addressed to your business, so it goes through your accounts like any other supplier.
For your venue or health and safety team, we send our £10 million public liability insurance, PAT certificates and technical rider. If you’re an events agency booking on behalf of a client, we’re used to working through you and to your brief.

CHRISTMAS PARTY BAND HIRE
Plan early for December
For most companies the Christmas party is the biggest night of the year, and December weekends go quickly. Many of our festive dates are booked by the summer, so if you already have a venue and a date, it’s worth checking with us early.
At Christmas we drop festive favourites into the set alongside the usual floor-fillers, and we keep to the venue’s timings, which matters on busy party nights when hotels run several events at once.

Awards nights run to a schedule, and the band has to fit it. Send us your running order and we’ll plan when the PA plays background music, when we stay quiet for the host and the winners, and when the band starts once the formal part is over.
We’re happy to work alongside your venue team or AV company on stage position and timings, and we can play walk-on tracks through our PA as winners head to the stage.
