Your details, looked after

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, enquire, book the band or buy from our shop, what we do with it, and your rights. If you have any questions, email info@brassmonkees.com.

1Who we are

  1. 1.1Brass Monkees is a trading name of Entertainment Monkey Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16282766). Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
  2. 1.2We are the "controller" of your personal information, which means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for looking after it.
  3. 1.3Contact us about anything in this policy by email at info@brassmonkees.com or by phone or WhatsApp on 0330 133 8368.

2What we collect

  1. 2.1When you enquire (through our website forms, email, phone, WhatsApp or social media): your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue or location, type of event, timings, guest numbers and anything else you tell us in your message.
  2. 2.2When you book: the details above, plus your address, the names and contact details you give us for the day (for example a venue coordinator or planner), the details you give us in your booking and final details forms (timings, parking, food, song choices, first dance and similar), your acceptance of our terms, and records of what you've paid. Payments are by bank transfer or a payment link; we don't see or keep your card details.
  3. 2.3When you buy from our shop: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and what you ordered. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
  4. 2.4When you leave a review: your name and what you write, if you're happy for us to use it.
  5. 2.5When you use our website: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device, collected by our website host and security provider to keep the site running safely. With your permission, cookies also tell us which pages you visit and whether you came from one of our adverts. See our cookie policy.
  6. 2.6We don't ask for sensitive information (such as health details). If you tell us something like this because it matters on the day, for example a guest's access needs, we'll only use it to plan your event.

3How we use it, and why

  1. 3.1To quote and take your booking, plan the day with you, send invoices and reminders, and perform at your event. We do this because it's needed for our contract with you, or to take steps you've asked for before booking.
  2. 3.2To reply to enquiries and follow up on a quote we've sent, and to ask for a review after your event. We do this because it's in our legitimate interests to run our business and it's what you'd reasonably expect. Just tell us if you'd rather we didn't get in touch again.
  3. 3.3To keep our accounts and records, because the law requires it.
  4. 3.4To keep the website and our forms secure and free of spam, in our legitimate interests.
  5. 3.5To understand how the website is used and measure our adverts, only with your consent through our cookie settings. You can change your mind any time.
  6. 3.6We don't send marketing newsletters, we never sell your details, and we don't make decisions about you by automated means.

4Who we share it with

  1. 4.1The musicians playing your event, including any stand-in (dep) musicians, get the details they need for the day: the date, venue, timings, running order and on-the-day contacts.
  2. 4.2Your venue or planner, where we need to arrange access, power, sound limits or timings with them.
  3. 4.3Companies that provide services to us, who only use your details to do that job: our website host and Cloudflare (website security); our email provider; the providers behind our online booking system (Supabase for data storage, Vercel for hosting and Resend for sending emails); Stripe (shop payments); our bank; Google (spam protection on our forms, and, if you agree, Google Analytics and Google Ads); and Meta (Facebook and Instagram advert measurement, if you agree). If you contact us on WhatsApp or social media, those platforms handle your messages under their own policies.
  4. 4.4Our accountant and HMRC, where needed for tax and accounts.
  5. 4.5Anyone else only if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.

5Outside the UK

  1. 5.1Some of the companies above (such as Google, Meta, Stripe and our booking system providers) may store or access information outside the UK, including in the USA.
  2. 5.2When that happens, the transfer is protected in a way UK law allows, such as a UK adequacy decision, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK's approved contract clauses.

6How long we keep it

  1. 6.1Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 2 years after we last heard from you, so we can pick things up if you get back in touch, then deleted.
  2. 6.2Bookings, invoices and shop orders: 6 years after the end of the financial year they fall in, because the law requires us to keep business records for that long.
  3. 6.3Reviews: for as long as we show them, or until you ask us to remove them.
  4. 6.4Website analytics: Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our cookie policy.

7Your rights

  1. 7.1You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to object to us using it, or to send it to you or someone else in a common format.
  2. 7.2Where we rely on your consent (for example analytics and advert cookies), you can withdraw it at any time from the cookie settings.
  3. 7.3Email info@brassmonkees.com to use any of these rights. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. Some rights have limits; for example we must keep booking records for the time the law requires, and we'll explain if that applies.
  4. 7.4If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

8Keeping it safe

  1. 8.1Your details are kept in password-protected systems, sent over secure (HTTPS) connections, and only seen by people who need them to deliver your booking.
  2. 8.2Our services are for adults booking events. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

9Changes to this policy

  1. 9.1We'll update this page if anything changes, and change the date at the top. This version was last updated on 16 October 2026.
