About the venue
Relaxed, rustic and ready to party
Owen House Wedding Barn is a family-run venue on a working farm in Mobberley, near Knutsford, converted into a wedding barn in 2013 and full of character ever since.
Ceremonies take place in a separate ceremony room for up to 150 guests, and the barn seats up to 190 for the wedding breakfast before it becomes the dancefloor for the evening. Two award-winning caterers create your menu, and the bar serves local cask ales and craft spirits at pub prices.
Outside there are two orchard paddocks, gardens with a flower-covered pagoda and a patio for drinks. Then come the brilliant extras: the Shooting Gallery, 2,500 sq ft of covered photo space with a 40ft wall of fairy lights and a mirror ball, a beauty shed for getting ready, and the Baa-BER shed, with vintage barber chairs, table football and a beer fridge.
With accommodation on site for up to 36 guests, plus a bridal suite with an outdoor copper bath, it’s friendly, down to earth and all about having a great time, which is exactly the kind of wedding we love playing.

Can Brass Monkees play at Owen House Wedding Barn?
Is there room for a 9-piece band in the barn?
Yes. We’ll agree the band’s position with the venue so there’s a good-sized dancefloor in front, and tailor our PA and lighting to the barn and your numbers.
Can the roaming brass play outside?
Yes. Our roaming brass band is fully mobile and perfect for the patio and gardens during your welcome drinks, weather permitting. If it’s wet, they simply move inside with your guests.
Do we need to hire any equipment?
No. The band brings a full PA and stage lighting at no extra cost, and we’re fully insured, with paperwork ready for the venue if needed.
Can you provide a DJ?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, so one team covers everything from your first dance onwards.
How much does a wedding band at Owen House cost?
Our wedding packages start from around £2,000. The exact price depends on your date, timings and any extras, and as you book us directly there are no agency fees. Send us your date and we’ll quote you.
How far ahead should we book?
Barn weddings near Knutsford are in high demand, and summer Saturdays often go a year or more ahead. Once your date is booked with Owen House, check ours as soon as you can.
