About the venue
A castle made for a party
Built in the 1840s in the style of a medieval fortress, Peckforton Castle sits on a wooded ridge in the countryside near Tarporley, and it’s one of the most dramatic places to get married in the North West.
Inside, it’s all red sandstone, vaulted ceilings and open fires. There are four licensed rooms for your ceremony, a wedding breakfast for up to 165 guests and room for up to 350 in the evening, so it suits an intimate day or a full-blown celebration.
With 48 bedrooms in the castle and exclusive use available, the whole place can be yours, and your guests can stay right where the party is.
Weddings here have a real sense of occasion, and our job is to match it: a big, live sound in the castle’s grand rooms and a dancefloor that stays full until the last song.

Peckforton Castle wedding band FAQs
Can Brass Monkees play at Peckforton Castle?
Yes. Peckforton Castle is near Tarporley, about half an hour from Chester, and well within the area we cover (see our Chester wedding band page). We’ll speak to the castle’s events team before the day about load-in, set-up and timings, so you don’t need to chase any of it.
Which room will the band play in?
That depends on your guest numbers and which rooms you’ve booked. We’ll work with the castle to plan the best spot for the band and the dancefloor, and adapt our PA and lighting to suit the space.
Is the band’s PA and lighting included?
Yes. A full PA and stage lighting come with the band at no extra cost. We’re fully insured too, with paperwork ready to send to the castle if they ask for it.
Can you play the ceremony and drinks reception too?
Yes. With four licensed rooms at the castle, our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your ceremony, roaming brass can entertain during drinks and the full band takes over in the evening.
Do you offer a DJ as well?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, so the dancefloor never goes quiet between sets and there’s no separate DJ to book.
How much is a wedding band at Peckforton Castle?
Our wedding packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. You book directly with the band, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for an exact quote.
How soon should we book?
Castle weddings tend to be planned well ahead, and peak-season Saturdays can go a year or more in advance. Once your date is confirmed with the venue, check ours as soon as you can.
