About the venue
A castle wedding in the Vale of Clwyd
On the edge of Ruthin, Ruthin Castle is a hotel built among the red sandstone ruins of a 13th-century fortress, with battlements, ruins and gardens that make for unforgettable photos.
Ceremonies for up to 100 guests can be held in the Grand Salon, the Peacock Suite or in one of two outdoor spots with the castle as the backdrop.
The Medieval Banqueting Hall hosts the wedding breakfast for up to 100, with up to 150 guests for the day, and the entertainment licence runs until midnight.
With around 60 bedrooms, including the Prince of Wales Suite for the two of you, most of your guests can stay in the castle, and exclusive use can be arranged.
