A Grade II listed château built in 1849 on the shore of the Menai Strait, with turrets, gardens down to the water and 27 bedrooms. A fairytale setting for a 9-piece band with live horns.
About the venue
A French château on the Menai Strait
Just outside Menai Bridge on Anglesey, Château Rhianfa was built in 1849 by Sir John Hay Williams for his wife, Lady Sarah, inspired by the châteaux of the Loire Valley. Its turrets and gardens run down to the shore of the Menai Strait.
Ceremonies can take place in several spots across the estate, including outdoors, with drinks on the terrace and photos in the Parterre Garden by the water.
The Banqueting Hall hosts the larger celebrations, and the Drawing Room suits a smaller wedding. With exclusive use, the château takes up to around 145 guests.
27 bedrooms across the château and its lodge sleep around 54, with bridal and honeymoon suites, so most of your guests can stay for breakfast the next morning.

Do you travel to Anglesey?
Yes. We play weddings right across North Wales, including Anglesey (see our North Wales wedding band page). Travel is included in your quote, so there are no surprises.
Can you play our ceremony at Chateau Rhianfa?
Yes. Our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your entrance, the signing and your exit, indoors or outside in the gardens.
Will a 9-piece band fit at Chateau Rhianfa?
Yes, for a full exclusive-use wedding the Banqueting Hall has room for the band and a dancefloor. We confirm the set-up with the venue before the day.
Do you work with sound limiters?

Do we need to hire a PA or lights?
No. Our own PA and stage lighting are included, and we are fully insured, with documents ready for the venue if they ask.
How much does a wedding band at Chateau Rhianfa cost?
Our packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. Travel is added for venues further west, and we include it in your quote. You book with us directly, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for a quote.
How far ahead should we book?
Summer Saturdays at Château Rhianfa often book a year or more ahead, so check our availability as soon as you have your date.
