About the venue
Valley views and a full dancefloor
In the Conwy Valley near Llanrwst, Plas Maenan is a country house looking out across the valley to Eryri (Snowdonia). Only one wedding takes place each day, so the house, the grounds and the ceremony spaces are yours.
Ceremonies for up to 80 guests are held in the Calon Suite or outdoors overlooking the valley.
The Ballroom hosts the wedding breakfast for up to 80, and up to 120 guests can join you in the evening, which makes for a full, lively dancefloor.
Bedrooms sleep around 26 guests, and the honeymoon suite and a getting-ready room are part of the package.

A resident DJ comes with the venue package, so you can have the band for the big sets and the DJ to finish the night.

On a summer afternoon our roaming brass band can play around the grounds while the photos are taken.

Plas Maenan wedding band FAQs
Can Brass Monkees play at Plas Maenan?
Yes. We play weddings right across North Wales (see our North Wales wedding band page). Before the day we speak to the venue team about where the band sets up, timings and their music arrangements.
Plas Maenan includes a DJ. Can we have the band as well?
Yes. Live music is welcome, so we can play the main sets and hand over to the venue DJ at the end. We agree the timings with the venue before the day.
Can you play our ceremony at Plas Maenan?
Yes. Our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your entrance, the signing and your exit, in the Calon Suite or outside overlooking the valley.
Do you work with sound limiters?
Yes. We set our levels to suit the room, and our guide to sound limiters at North Wales wedding venues explains how they work and what to ask.
Do we need to hire a PA or lights?
No. Our own PA and stage lighting are included, and we are fully insured, with documents ready for the venue if they ask.
How much does a wedding band at Plas Maenan cost?
Our packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. Travel is added for venues further west, and we include it in your quote. You book with us directly, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for a quote.
How far ahead should we book?
With one wedding a day at Plas Maenan, summer dates go early, so check our availability as soon as you have your date.
