Manchester Hall Wedding Band
The city's former Freemasons' Hall, a Grade II-listed building with chandeliers, domed ceilings and neo-classical rooms. Add a 9-piece band with a full horn section and you've got a night as grand as the setting.
About the venue
Old-school glamour in the city centre
For decades, Manchester Hall on Bridge Street was the home of the city's Freemasons, and its neo-classical interiors stayed almost untouched from the 1920s until the building was restored and reopened as a venue in 2017.
Behind the Grade II-listed limestone front you'll find a run of characterful rooms: the Goulburn suite with its giant chandelier and domed ceiling, the Museum suite with its huge windows, a spiral staircase made for photos and a roof terrace for drinks.
There's room for up to 310 for dinner and 490 in the evening, with bedrooms on site, including a bridal suite, and even a spa for the morning of the wedding.
It's grand and glamorous without being stuffy, and it's the perfect stage for soul, Motown and a horn section in full flow, right in the heart of town.
Chandeliers, domed ceilings and a horn section. Old-school glamour with a proper party.
Why a live band
Made for live music
High ceilings, grand rooms and the whole city on the doorstep. Manchester Hall gives a live band everything it needs.
Room for the horns to breathe
Domed ceilings and big, elegant suites let a horn section sound full and polished. We set our PA for the room, so it's big without being harsh.
Glamour to match
Chandeliers and neo-classical detail deserve more than a playlist. Soul and Motown with live brass feels right at home here.
City-centre easy
Guests can walk to hotels, bars and taxis on Deansgate, so nobody has to leave early to get home.
One team, all day
Acoustic ceremony music, roaming brass on the terrace, the full band and our DJ booth: one booking for your whole Manchester Hall wedding.

Questions
Manchester Hall wedding band FAQs
Can Brass Monkees play at Manchester Hall?
Yes. Manchester Hall is on Bridge Street in the city centre, right in the heart of the area we cover (see our Manchester wedding band page). We’ll speak to the venue’s events team before the day about load-in, set-up and timings, so you don’t need to chase any of it.
Which room will the band play in?
That depends on your guest numbers and which suites you’ve booked. We’ll work with the venue to plan the best spot for the band and the dancefloor, and set up our PA and lighting to suit the room.
How does the band load in at a city-centre venue?
We plan it with the venue in advance, from where we can park and unload to the route up to your room. It’s all part of the service, and you won’t need to sort any of it.
Is the band’s PA and lighting included?
Yes. A full PA and stage lighting come with the band at no extra cost. We’re fully insured too, with paperwork ready to send to the venue if they ask for it.
Can you play the ceremony and drinks reception too?
Yes. Our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your ceremony, roaming brass can entertain during drinks, and the full band takes over in the evening.
How much is a wedding band at Manchester Hall?
Our wedding packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. You book directly with the band, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for an exact quote.
How soon should we book?
City-centre venues like Manchester Hall book up early, and peak-season Saturdays can go a year or more ahead. Once your date is confirmed with the venue, check ours as soon as you can.
