About the venue
A wedding above the city
20 Stories sits on the roof of No.1 Spinningfields on Hardman Street, right in the middle of Manchester's business district, and it has some of the best views in the city.
There's a main restaurant, an open bar, a private dining room and a rooftop terrace and garden looking out across the skyline. You can marry on the terrace, in the restaurant or in the private dining room.
Up to 200 guests can sit down for dinner, and the whole venue is available for exclusive hire, so the rooftop is yours for the day.
It's a stylish, modern city wedding, and the space is more compact than a warehouse or ballroom. We'll plan the set-up with the venue early so the band and the dancefloor both fit perfectly.

Can Brass Monkees play at 20 Stories?
Yes. 20 Stories is in Spinningfields, right in the heart of the area we cover (see our Manchester wedding band page). We’ll speak to the venue’s events team before the day about load-in, lifts, set-up and timings, so you don’t need to chase any of it.
Is there room for a 9-piece band?
The space is more compact than a warehouse or ballroom, so we plan the set-up with the venue in advance, including where the stage goes and how much room the dancefloor needs. Talk to us early and we’ll make it work.
Can the band play outside on the terrace?
The terrace is perfect for roaming brass or an acoustic set during the ceremony and drinks. The full band plays inside, where the sound stays in the room and the city views are just as good through the windows.
Is the band’s PA and lighting included?
Yes. A full PA and stage lighting come with the band at no extra cost. We’re fully insured too, with paperwork ready to send to the venue if they ask for it.
Do you offer a DJ as well?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, so the dancefloor never goes quiet between sets and there’s no separate DJ to book.
How much is a wedding band at 20 Stories?
Our wedding packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. You book directly with the band, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for an exact quote.
How soon should we book?
Exclusive hire of a rooftop venue is popular, and peak-season Saturdays can go a year or more ahead. Once your date is confirmed with the venue, check ours as soon as you can.
