The Stables Wedding Band
Once part of the Coronation Street set at Granada Studios, now an exclusive-use, industrial-chic venue tucked away off Deansgate. Exposed brick, timber roofs and a proper dancefloor, made for a 9-piece band.
About the venue
A hidden gem with TV history
The Stables sits on Lower Byrom Street, a quiet spot just off Deansgate and a few minutes' walk from Spinningfields and Castlefield. The building was once part of the Coronation Street set at the old Granada Studios, and there's even a green lamp post outside from the original set.
Today it's an exclusive-use, industrial-chic venue with exposed red brick, high timber rooflines and big industrial windows, a modern bar, a professional kitchen and a patio outside.
It takes up to 110 seated and 200 in the evening, with rustic trestle tables, a dedicated dancefloor and space set aside for live music. It's licensed for weddings, so you can marry, eat and party in one place.
It's relaxed, characterful and right in the city, and it's exactly the kind of room where a horn section and a full band turn a wedding into the best night out of the year.
Brick walls, timber beams and a horn section in full flow. Corrie never sounded like this.
Why a live band
Made for live music
A dancefloor, a space set aside for bands and the whole venue to yourselves. The Stables is ready for a party from the moment you walk in.
Ready for a band
With a dedicated dancefloor and space for live music, a 9-piece slots straight in, and we'll plan the set-up with the team before the day.
Warm, punchy sound
Brick walls and timber roofs give the horns real warmth. We set our PA for the room so it's big and lively without being harsh.
All yours
Exclusive use means the evening runs to your timings, with no other parties sharing the building.
City-centre easy
Deansgate, Castlefield and Spinningfields are on the doorstep, so it's easy for guests to get home or carry on the night.

Questions
The Stables wedding band FAQs
Can Brass Monkees play at The Stables?
Yes. The Stables is on Lower Byrom Street, just off Deansgate, right in the heart of the area we cover (see our Manchester wedding band page). We’ll speak to the venue’s team before the day about load-in, set-up and timings, so you don’t need to chase any of it.
Is there room for a 9-piece band?
Yes. The venue has a dedicated dancefloor and space for live music, and we’ll plan exactly where the band and the dancefloor go with the team before your day.
Is the band’s PA and lighting included?
Yes. A full PA and stage lighting come with the band at no extra cost. We’re fully insured too, with paperwork ready to send to the venue if they ask for it.
Can you play the ceremony and drinks reception too?
Yes. Our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your ceremony, roaming brass can entertain on the patio during drinks, and the full band takes over in the evening.
Do you offer a DJ as well?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, so the dancefloor never goes quiet between sets and there’s no separate DJ to book.
How much is a wedding band at The Stables?
Our wedding packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. You book directly with the band, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for an exact quote.
How soon should we book?
Exclusive-use city venues book up quickly, and peak-season Saturdays can go a year or more ahead. Once your date is confirmed with the venue, check ours as soon as you can.
