About the venue
Pennine views and a proper ballroom
Tucked into the Castleshaw Valley near Delph, The Saddleworth Hotel has been run by the same family since the 1960s, and it brings a real countryside setting to the edge of Greater Manchester.
The hotel sits in more than nine acres of private gardens and mature woodland looking out over the Pennines. Ceremonies can be held inside by candlelight or outdoors under the sandstone gazebo.
The Ballroom is the star: balconied, with a fireplace, Swarovski lights and chandeliers that came from an ocean liner, seating up to 400 and taking 500 in the evening. The smaller Friarmere Suite suits up to 150 in the evening, and there are 16 bedrooms for guests staying over.

Can Brass Monkees play at The Saddleworth Hotel?
Yes. The hotel is near Delph in Saddleworth, on the Greater Manchester side of the Pennines and well within the area we cover (see our Manchester wedding band page). We’ll speak to the hotel’s events team before the day about load-in, set-up and timings, so you don’t need to chase any of it.
Which room will the band play in?
Most weddings with a full band use the Ballroom, which takes up to 500 in the evening. For smaller weddings the Friarmere Suite may suit, and we’ll plan the best set-up with the hotel either way.
Can you play an outdoor ceremony?
Yes. Our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your ceremony under the sandstone gazebo, and roaming brass needs no power at all, so it’s perfect for drinks in the gardens.
Is the band’s PA and lighting included?
Yes. A full PA and stage lighting come with the band at no extra cost. We’re fully insured too, with paperwork ready to send to the hotel if they ask for it.
Do you offer a DJ as well?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, so the dancefloor never goes quiet between sets and there’s no separate DJ to book.
How much is a wedding band at The Saddleworth Hotel?
Our wedding packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, timings and extras. You book directly with the band, so there are no agency fees. Send us your date for an exact quote.
How soon should we book?
Summer Saturdays at countryside venues go quickly, often a year or more ahead. Once your date is confirmed with the hotel, check ours as soon as you can.
