About the venue
Oak beams and open skies
Sandhole Oak Barn is a family-run, exclusive-use venue on a farm just outside Congleton, set in 400 acres with its own private lake and views over rolling Cheshire countryside.
The Oak Barn is light and airy, with mellow oak beams, wrought iron chandeliers and full-length windows looking out over the lake. It seats up to 140 for the wedding breakfast and takes up to 180 in the evening, and the charming Small Barn next door works as a cosy retreat or an extra party space.
You can say your vows inside the Oak Barn or outdoors under the Clock Tower overlooking the lake, then spill out onto the veranda and gardens for drinks with the countryside all around you.
And with 17 bedrooms on site, including a self-contained honeymoon cottage, your closest family and friends can stay over and make a weekend of it.

Can Brass Monkees play at Sandhole Oak Barn?
Yes. Sandhole is just outside Congleton, comfortably within the area we cover in Cheshire. We’ll get in touch with the venue before the day to agree set-up, access and timings.
Will a 9-piece band fit in the Oak Barn?
Yes. We’ll plan the band’s position with the venue so there’s plenty of room left for the dancefloor, and set our PA and lighting to suit the barn and your guest numbers.
Can you play at the lakeside Clock Tower?
Our acoustic singer and guitarist is ideal for outdoor ceremonies at the Clock Tower by the lake. We’ll check positioning with the venue beforehand and move inside to the Oak Barn with you if the weather turns.
Do you bring your own PA and lighting?
Yes, both are included with the band, so there’s nothing else to hire. We’re fully insured and happy to share our paperwork with the venue.
Can you provide a DJ too?
Yes. Our manned DJ booth is packaged with the band for one seamless night of music, keeping the dancefloor going between the band’s sets.
How much does a wedding band at Sandhole Oak Barn cost?
Packages start from around £2,000, depending on your date, how long you need us and any extras. We don’t charge agency fees because you book with us directly. Send us your date and we’ll quote you exactly.
When should we book?
Barn weddings are very popular in spring and summer, and the best Saturdays can be gone a year or more ahead. If your date is fixed, get in touch early.
