Planning your day? Our venue guides cover some of our favourite Manchester venues, including The Stables in Castlefield and The Saddleworth Hotel out on the moors, or read our guide to the best Manchester wedding venues for a live band. We've also played the Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, Whitworth Locke, 12 Tariff Street and Daisy Bank Manor, among many more.
Wherever you're getting married, from Salford Quays to Stockport, Bolton, Bury, Wigan or Oldham, we'll bring the full show: our own PA and lighting, a playlist between sets, and a set list that changes as we read the room. Getting married further afield? We also play Cheshire and Liverpool weddings all the time.

More detail is in our terms and conditions.
Soul, Funk, R&B, Motown and Pop, mixing classics with newer hits, all played live with our horn section. We watch the dancefloor and change direction when we need to.

Nine of us: two lead vocalists, drums, bass, guitar, keys, and trumpet, trombone and sax.
No, we bring it all. We just need a flat, covered space about 6m × 3m and two 13 amp sockets on different circuits. City-centre rooms can be compact; we’ve squeezed into small spaces before, so just ask.
The standard 3kW PA suits most rooms, and a 5kW PA is available for bigger ones at extra cost.
We have pages for 20 Stories, Manchester Hall, The Monastery, The Stables, Victoria Warehouse and The Saddleworth Hotel.
Our Manchester wedding venues guide covers more, and we play right across Greater Manchester, from Salford and Trafford to Stockport, Bolton and Oldham.
We’d love to. If it suits our set, we’ll learn it for free; if not, there’s a fee to arrange and rehearse it.
Or we can play the original track through our PA.
Normally around 6pm. If we’re in a separate room from the meal, we set up straight away. In the same room, we wait until after the speeches.
Whenever fits your day, though 8:30–9pm is the earliest we’d advise, so the party has time to build and finishes on a high.
At least an hour to set up and soundcheck, with a few minutes on top to get ready.
Most of the time, yes. A limit of around 100 decibels, with the sensor at least 7 metres from us, lets the full band play properly. For tighter limits, in-ear monitors and an electronic drum kit normally help.
Our guide to sound limiters at Manchester venues has more, or ask us before you book.

What our Manchester couples say
From packed dancefloors to a brass band procession through the city streets, here's what Manchester couples say about their day with us.
Brass Monkees were amazing!! We hired them for our Wedding day and it was one of our favourite parts of our wedding. They led the whole wedding party down to the evening section and put on the best performance.
People were on the dance floor all night and couldn’t stop telling us how fun and great they were. If you want a band with loads of energy they are for you!
Also the communication running up to the wedding was so easy and quick. We felt really supported.
Can’t recommend enough!!
I got married recently and got so lucky that I came across brass monkees! I came to them with an idea which they helped bring to life and did it so seamlessly! They hid at the back of church and popped out for the instrumental of 'All you need is love' - proper Love Actually style! They then walked us from church to our venue and played the whole way. It was like a big procession through the streets of Manchester!
I was in contact with Chris to organise the surprise and all the other logistics during the build up to the wedding and he was so helpful. Chris and the band were utterly brilliant. All my guests have said that the highlight of the wedding was the walk with the brass band. They played loads of upbeat tunes and barely stopped for breath along the way.
They brought so much joy to our wedding and we are so grateful. I would absolutely choose them again without a doubt. Thank you again so much for being such a fabulous part of our day!

Venue inspiration
Our favourite Manchester wedding venues
From a Pugin-designed monastery to cotton warehouses and rooftop bars, Manchester has wedding venues like nowhere else. Here are six of our favourites for a big night of live music.
The Monastery
A Grade II*-listed Victorian friary by Edward Welby Pugin, beautifully restored. Its soaring Great Nave takes up to 500 guests and makes a horn section sound incredible.
Victoria Warehouse
An early 1900s cotton warehouse by the canal, with raw brick, big open spaces and a hotel on site. Built for a party that goes on late.
Manchester Hall
The city's former Freemasons' Hall, with chandeliers, domed ceilings and neo-classical interiors. Grand and glamorous, and right in the heart of town.
20 Stories
A rooftop restaurant and terrace garden above Spinningfields, with views right across the skyline. Sunset drinks outside, then the band inside.
The Saddleworth Hotel
A family-run hotel in nine acres of Pennine countryside, with a balconied ballroom for up to 500 and ocean-liner chandeliers overhead.
The Stables
Once part of the Coronation Street set, now an exclusive-use, industrial-chic venue just off Deansgate, with exposed brick, timber roofs and a proper dancefloor.
Getting married somewhere else?
We play weddings at venues all over Manchester and Greater Manchester. Tell us where and when, and we'll check the date for you.

A MANCHESTER WEDDING TO REMEMBER: A BRASS BAND PROCESSION THROUGH THE CITY
From a surprise in church to a parade through the streets
Molly came to us with an idea, and our roaming brass band helped bring it to life. We hid at the back of the church and popped out for the instrumental of All You Need Is Love, Love Actually style, then led the newlyweds and their guests from the church to the reception, playing upbeat tunes the whole way through the streets of Manchester.
"All my guests have said that the highlight of the wedding was the walk with the brass band."
It's the kind of moment that only works with live musicians on the move. If you're getting married in the city and moving between a ceremony and a reception, roaming brass turns the walk into part of the celebration.
PLANNING LIVE MUSIC FOR YOUR MANCHESTER WEDDING
City venues, timings and set-up, handled for you
Manchester venues come in every shape, from converted warehouses like Victoria Warehouse and grand old halls like Manchester Hall to rooftops like 20 Stories and hotels out towards the Pennines. City-centre weddings bring a few extra details, such as loading bays, lifts and late licences, and we'll sort all of that out with your venue coordinator so you don't have to.
We usually arrive around 6pm and need at least 60 minutes to set up and soundcheck, plus a little time to get changed, waiting until after the speeches if we're in the same room as your meal. The band normally starts around 8.30 to 9pm with two 60-minute sets, and our PA, stage lighting and playlists before, between and after the sets are all included.
Got a late licence? Add our manned DJ booth to carry the party on after the band. Read our guide to sound limiters at Manchester wedding venues too.
WEDDING BAND LINE-UPS AND EXTRAS IN MANCHESTER
One booking, music from the vows to the last dance
The full band is nine musicians: drums, bass, guitar, keys, two lead vocalists and a horn section of sax, trombone and trumpet. It's a big sound that fills a warehouse or a ballroom without needing to be pushed.
Earlier in the day, our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your ceremony, and our 4-piece roaming brass band can lead your guests to the drinks reception or play among them on the terrace.
Every booking includes our playlist service between sets, and you can add the manned DJ booth for the end of the night. See our wedding packages for the full options.
SONGS AND SETLISTS FOR YOUR MANCHESTER WEDDING
Something for every generation
Our sets mix soul, funk, R&B, Motown and pop, from 60s classics through to today's chart hits, all played with a live horn section. It's music your grandparents will dance to and your friends will sing along to.
Before the day, we'll help you shape the setlist around the songs you love, and on the night we read the room and adjust as we go to keep the dancefloor full. If there's time to rehearse, we can learn your first dance, or we'll play the original through our PA.
Have a look at our full song list.
