About the venue
A Georgian house at its grandest
North-east of Shrewsbury, at the end of a mile-long drive, Hawkstone Hall is an 18th-century Grade I listed country house set in 88 acres of parkland and gardens. After two years of restoration, it opened its doors for weddings in 2018.
Ceremonies can be held in the Chapel or outdoors in the gardens, with the Winter Garden for drinks if the weather turns.
The celebrations move into the Ballroom and the Saloon, with dinner for up to 170 guests and up to 200 in the evening, so there is room for the full band and a proper dancefloor.
With 35 bedrooms sleeping around 72, plus a bridal suite and a honeymoon suite, most of your guests can stay in the hall itself.

Can Brass Monkees play at Hawkstone Hall?
Yes. We play weddings right across Shropshire (see our Shropshire wedding band page). Before the day we speak to the venue team about where the band sets up, timings and their music arrangements.
Can you play our ceremony in the Chapel?
Yes. Our acoustic singer and guitarist can play your entrance, the signing and your exit, in the Chapel or outside in the gardens.
Will a 9-piece band fit at Hawkstone Hall?
Yes. With up to 200 guests in the evening, the main rooms have space for the full band and a dancefloor. We confirm the exact set-up with the venue before the day.
Do you work with sound limiters?

Do we need to hire a PA or lights?
No. Our own PA and stage lighting are included, and we are fully insured, with documents ready for the venue if they ask.
