NORTH WALES FUNCTION BAND
A full nine-piece band with live horns, bringing a proper party to North Wales.
We play birthdays, anniversaries, summer parties, charity balls, Christmas parties and golf and rugby club dinners right across the region: Wrexham and Mold, Llangollen and the Dee Valley, Ruthin and Denbigh in the Vale of Clwyd, and along the coast from Prestatyn and Rhyl to Llandudno and Conwy. The song list covers Soul, Funk, R&B, Motown and Pop, with old favourites and new hits for every generation.
Rural venues and big country houses need a band that brings everything with it, and we do: our own PA and stage lighting, set up to suit the room. We’re winners at the Manchester and North West England Prestige Awards, rated 5.0 on Google, and every song is played live with no backing tracks.
There’s no agent between us, just one clear price with travel included. Country house hotels, castle venues and golf clubs across North Wales often ask for a band’s documents. We hold £10 million public liability cover and PAT test our kit, and we’ll send both certificates to the venue in advance.

In North Wales, a live function band normally costs from around:
We start at £2,000 plus travel for the full nine-piece. There’s no agent, so you avoid the commission (usually about 20%) that gets added through an agency.
Your price depends on the date, where the venue is and how much live music you’d like.

Yes, invoices come from Entertainment Monkey Ltd and can be addressed to a company, a golf or rugby club, or a committee. Sign the booking form online and pay a 15% deposit to confirm. The final invoice is sent about two weeks before, with payment due a week before.

Nine people: two lead vocalists, drums, bass, guitar and keys, and a horn section of trumpet, trombone and sax.
Often, yes. We learn it free if it’s a song we’d add to our set; otherwise there’s a fee for the arranging and rehearsal time. The original track can also be played through our PA.
Yes. We need a flat, covered stage area of about 6m × 3m and two 13 amp sockets on separate circuits. In a marquee or a remote venue, check the power supply with the venue or hire company, as generators need to be suitable for a band.
Our 3kW PA is standard, with a 5kW PA for large spaces at extra cost.
Around 6pm as a rule. If we’re in a separate room we get going straight away; if we share the dining room, we set up once it’s clear.
That’s up to you, but 8:30–9pm is the earliest we’d suggest, so the night has time to warm up and the dancing lasts to the end.
A minimum of 60 minutes to set up and soundcheck, and a little time to change afterwards.
The whole region, including Wrexham, Mold, Flint, Holywell, Llangollen, Ruthin, Denbigh, St Asaph, Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Conwy, Bangor and Anglesey. Travel is included in the price.
We also play functions in Cheshire, Liverpool, Manchester, Shropshire and Staffordshire.
Not usually. At about 100 decibels, with the sensor at least 7 metres from the stage, the full band can play as normal. If it’s set lower, in-ear monitors and an electronic drum kit often solve it.

Brass Monkees played at our Summer Party on Saturday after coming highly recommended to us and they certainly didn't disappoint! The band were full of energy and the dance floor was buzzing all evening.

A FUNCTION BAND FOR NORTH WALES PARTIES
Coast, valleys and towns
Parties in North Wales range from big birthdays in seaside hotels on the coast to anniversaries in country houses and charity balls in Wrexham. We also play golf and rugby club dinners, summer parties in marquees and New Year’s Eve nights, and wherever it is, nine musicians with live horns give the room a proper party.
We travel across Flintshire, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey, with travel included in every quote.
BOOKING A FUNCTION BAND IN NORTH WALES
Booking step by step
Send your date and venue and we’ll confirm availability with a quote. Sign the booking form online and pay a 15% deposit to secure the date. Your final invoice arrives about two weeks before, with the balance due a week before the party.
Ahead of the night we agree timings and access with you and the venue, and send our insurance and PAT certificates. We can invoice businesses, clubs and committees, and work events are covered on our corporate event band page.

We need around 6m by 3m, but we’re used to fitting into older buildings with smaller rooms, so just tell us what’s there.
