“The best wedding band I've seen and lucky it was at our big day!”

Staffordshire's 9-piece party band

STAFFORDSHIRE WEDDING BAND

Two lead singers and a three-piece horn section on trumpet, trombone and sax, backed by drums, bass, guitar and keys. Nine musicians who turn your wedding breakfast room into a packed dancefloor the moment the tables are cleared.

We play soul, funk, R&B, Motown and pop at weddings right across the county, from grand country houses and estates around Lichfield and Stafford to converted barns out in the Staffordshire Moorlands and modern hotel suites in Stoke-on-Trent and Burton. Big room or small, we set up to suit the space.

Wherever you're getting married, from Uttoxeter and Cheadle to Stone, Rugeley and Cannock, we bring the full show: our own PA and lighting, a playlist between sets, and a set list that changes as we read the room. Plenty of Staffordshire's historic halls use sound limiters, and we're well used to playing a full-energy set within them. Getting married over the border? We also play Cheshire and Manchester weddings all the time.

There's no agency in the middle: you speak to the band from first enquiry to final encore. Want music earlier in the day too? Add a ceremony singer, roaming brass for the drinks reception or our DJ booth with one of our wedding packages.

As a rough guide, wedding bands in Staffordshire cost:

£1,000+3-piece
£1,400+4–5 piece
£1,600+6+ piece
£2,000+9-piece

Our 9-piece band starts from £2,000 plus travel. You book with us directly, so there's no 20% agency fee on top, and you get a full band with a live horn section for less than many agencies charge for a smaller line-up.

Your exact price depends on the line-up, how far we travel, the time of year and how long we're needed at your venue.

  • Set-up and soundcheck from 6pm
  • Two 60-minute live sets (or another format that suits your day)
  • Our playlist through the PA before, between and after the sets
  • Full PA system
  • Stage lighting
  • Public liability insurance and PAT-tested equipment

Want the party to carry on after the band? Add our manned DJ booth with one of our wedding packages.

Send us your date and venue using our enquiry form. We'll check we're free and send you a quote.

Happy to go ahead? We'll send a link to our online booking form. Sign it and pay a 15% deposit to secure your date, and your deposit invoice lands in your inbox straight away.

Your final invoice comes by email about two weeks before the wedding. It includes anything you've added since booking and takes off anything you've already paid.

The balance needs to be paid at least 7 days before your wedding. Our terms and conditions and full FAQs have more detail.

Soul, funk, R&B, Motown and pop, from 1950s classics to this year's hits, all played live with a horn section. We read the room and change the set as the night goes on.

Browse the full song list.

Nine: two lead vocalists, drums, bass, guitar and keys, plus a horn section on trumpet, trombone and saxophone.

No, we bring it all. We just need a flat, covered performance area of about 6m × 3m and two separate 13 amp sockets on individual spurs. Plenty of barn and country-house venues are tighter than that, and we've squeezed into far smaller spaces, so just let us know.

Our 3kW PA comes as standard. For larger rooms we can bring a bigger 5kW PA at an extra cost.

All of it. We play weddings from Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme in the north to Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton upon Trent in the south, plus Stafford, Stone, Uttoxeter, Cannock, Rugeley and out into the Staffordshire Moorlands around Leek and Cheadle.

Whether it's a stately home, a country estate, a converted barn or a hotel ballroom, we'll size the PA and lighting to suit. Getting married over the border? We're regulars in Cheshire and Manchester too.

Of course. If it's a song we've been meaning to add to our set, we'll learn it for free. If not, there's an extra fee to arrange it for the band and rehearse it.

Or we can play the original recording through our PA, exactly as you know it.

Usually around 6pm. If we're setting up in a separate room from the wedding breakfast, we'll get going straight away. If it's the same room, we'll wait until the meal and speeches are over.

We'll fit around your plans, but we'd suggest starting around 8:30–9pm at the earliest. That way the party builds at the right pace and the dancefloor is still packed at the end of the night.

At least 60 minutes to set up and soundcheck, plus a little time to change and grab a drink, so we walk on fresh and ready to go.

In most cases, yes. Plenty of Staffordshire's historic halls and country houses have one. A limit of about 100 decibels, with the limiter at least 7 metres from the stage, lets the full 9-piece play at its best.

A lower limit doesn't always rule us out: we've played many quieter venues using in-ear monitors and the venue's electronic drum kit. Just check with us before you book.

What our Staffordshire couples say

Bouncing rooms, full dancefloors and guests who still talk about it: here's what Staffordshire couples say about their wedding with us.

The Band played at our wedding celebration last Saturday and the room was bouncing. Everyone up dancing through every song! Something for every age and we loved them.

One guest said “best wedding band he’d ever seen” and he’s been to many weddings and we have to agree.

If your considering booking then just do it you won’t regret it! Well done guys

Eleanor Drayton

Wedding band, Staffordshire

Genuinely the best wedding band ever, and we weren’t the only ones saying that; all our guests were too.

Kept the party going and the dance floor full all evening. An incredible ensemble, beautiful voices and amazing vibes!

LIVE MUSIC AT STAFFORDSHIRE WEDDING VENUES

Stately homes, country estates and Moorlands barns

Staffordshire weddings tend to happen in the countryside rather than the city: grand country houses and estates around Lichfield, Stafford and Burton upon Trent, converted barns and farm venues out in the Staffordshire Moorlands near Leek and Cheadle, and hotels and manor houses close to Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Every one of those spaces sounds different. A beamed barn needs a different set-up from a high-ceilinged ballroom, so we size our PA and stage lighting to the room and check the practical bits with your venue first: where we load in, the power supply, and whether there's a sound limiter.

Not sure your venue has the space for a 9-piece? We've squeezed into far smaller rooms than you'd think. Just send us the details and we'll let you know.
